Be a gentleman in this heart's month

I was on my way to Greenhills to attend a strategic meeting, I was seated very comfortably in 30-minute bus ride.

While halfway there, a bunch of new passenger came in and started to add up to the "already siksikan" vehicle, If you're a filipino young professional, part of an everyday adventure are the commuting experiences.

What really struck me is despite the fact that bus/train is "siksikan", most if not all of the filipino still find time to give  way / up their seat to a lady or and old woman nearby who is more of in need of the chair even if it will result to discomfort in a quite far distant traveling.

After realizing that I too stood up and gave my seat to an elderly standing nearest to me. and I must say I felt good after that.

These are some of the things why I'm proud of being a filipino, yes there are some exceptions (but I don't want to just join the rest of the whiners), not all men in that bus did it. But I'm sure you'll still find some "gentlemen filipinos" around.

This "month of hearts", I'm sure there are gentlemen out there whose heart is to "Rescue their princess", guarding their hearts, being very careful not to "mislead" or "defraud" the girl whom they are pursuing or interested to get to know.

Gentlemen who will pursue purity and holiness especially in this season where the world defines love = premarital sex. "emo/flirting games (playing with emotions)". Who will not abuse the opposite sex and force them to "prove their love" to them by giving their virginity.

I pray for greater grace, patience and trust in the Lord for single men like me who haven't met their "beauty to rescue" still searching , waiting and praying. May His good, pleasing and perfect will be the compass of our lives.

"Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will."
